The
birthday
(Feast )
of Mother
Mary
Every
year the Catholic Church celebrates the birth of Mother
Mary
on September 8, exactly nine months after her immaculate conception
on December 8 .
The
Bible does not give any details about the birth of mother Mary.
According to the Gospel of James (James (5:2), which is an apocryphal
writing from the late second century , Mary's parents were St. Anne
and St. Joachim. Ann and Joachim were childless couples. They prayed
and fasted for a child. Eventually, God answered their prayers and an
angel was send to Anne with a good news: “The Lord has heard your
prayer, and you shall conceive, and shall bring forth, and your seed
shall be spoken of in all the world.”
Let
us ask mother Mary for all the intentions of our heart, especially
childless couples, do ask mother Mary on her birth day for a child.
She will get that favor for you. Remember Jesus turned water in to
wine at the wedding at Cana on the request of his mother Mary.
“Remember,
O most gracious virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who
fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your
intercession was left unaided.”
